TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The presidential election’s temporary vote recapitulation by the General Elections Commission (KPU) as of Wednesday, April 24, 12:30 Western Indonesia Time (WIB), shows Jokowi – Ma’ruf Amin leading by nearly 4.89 million votes against their rival Prabowo Subianto – Sandiaga Uno.

The data represents less than 30 percent of total votes collected by KPU from 230,901 polling stations (TPS) out of a total of 813,350 TPS in Indonesia and polling stations abroad.

Thus, Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin managed to collect 55.63 percent (24,157,515 votes) compared to their rivals Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno collected 44.37 percent (19,268,690 votes).

KPU’s ongoing data collection reigns Joko Widodo in 22 Indonesian provinces consisting of voters in Central Java, East Java, Bali, Yogyakarta, North Sulawesi, Papua, and votes from Indonesians abroad.

Meanwhile, Prabowo – Sandiaga Uno attracted voters in 12 provinces consisting West Sumatra, South Sumatra, Jambi, Aceh, Banten, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), and South Sulawesi.

The temporary data is based on the commission’s C1 forms collected from polling stations (TPS) abroad and 34 Indonesian provinces. KPU predicts the votes recapitulation will be completed at least 35 days after the election on April 17.
